One of the must do things in Penang is a hike at the Penang National Park. The park's scenic trails wind through dense rainforest, leading to pristine beaches.
You'll encounter a diverse array of flora and fauna, from towering trees and exotic flowers to colourful butterflies and some wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for macaques swinging through the trees, monitor lizards basking in the sun, and rare bird species flitting among the branches.
One of the highlights of Penang National Park is the hike to Turtle Beach, also known as Pantai Kerachut. This picturesque beach is not only a stunning natural wonder but also serves as a significant nesting site for turtles.
Aside from Turtle Beach, the park is also home to other attractions such as Monkey Beach, Teluk Kampi, and the Canopy Walkway. There was a landslide earlier making some tracks inaccessible, but efforts are underway to restore the trails and ensure visitors can once again experience the full splendor of Penang National Park's diverse offerings.
If you are not keen on walking, there are also boat tours to the different beaches which you could take.
