Tenerife is the island of eternal spring, but did you know it has banana plantations all over the island? We visited Finca La Calabacera, an ecological & family driven fruitfarm on the west side of the island. We never thought it would be that interesting. You learn all about banana plants & the other fruits they cultivate, such as mango, papaya & starfruit. After the tour on the domain, we had a wonderful lunch for which they use their own local products. Very much recommended when in Tenerife!
