La Casa di Maratea - how, oh, how will I begin to describe you?
The creative Italian architect Marco de Luca - owner of the renowned Maison La Minervetta in Sorrento - has opened another gem in his mother country. Not a hotel this time, yet a luxurious design holiday home for six persons. De Luca chose Maratea as a home for the house, a rather unknown destination about 2.5 hours from Napoli. The place he grew up. And what a place… Lush greens all over, mountain villages where time stood still and beaches that take your breath away.
Hidden in a little alley right next to the coast, you’ll find the holiday home of your dreams: La Casa di Maratea. A combination of red, blue and orange that merges perfectly with the surroundings. Every little detail here has a story to tell. My mouth dropped whilst seeing all corners in the house and the garden - simply… wauw. The fridge is filled with greens from the garden, fresh cheese from the local market and - of course - Italian wine 😊. What a service! To top it off, the sweet Daiana and Michele come and cook breakfast for you every morning.
This place is a bucketlist item for everyone that loves refined design and is eager to explore an authentic part of Italy. Be sure to save this spot for one day in your life - you won’t regret it 🫶🏼
