I was looking forward to this stay! We spent the night at Cormoran Lodge, were you get your own wooden cabin / chalet, up hill, right next to Lake Kivu. The rooms are simple, no air conditioning, but honestly, who needs it when you have a priceless view like this? Nothing but the sound of the water down below, birds, surrounding nature, other guests enjoying a drink and the sunset from their balcony—this is exactly the kind of stay I love. We could go on all kinds of activities starting from here: a sunset boat cruise to hike up Napoleon Island, or a sunrise mission to join the fishermen at work. Would absolutely recommend.
