Situated in the heart of Colombia’s coffee region, this charming coffee farm is surrounded by green hills and stunning views. The tour itself was a perfect blend of education and hands-on experience. We began with an exploration of the plantation, where our guide walked us through every step of the coffee production process, from seed to cup. Along the way, we learned about the traditional methods used by local farmers.
One of the highlights was getting to pick coffee cherries ourselves, just like the farmers do. After the picking, we watched as the beans went through drying and roasting processes.
The tour wrapped up with a coffee tasting session where we learned the art of cupping, smelling and tasting. Each cup had its own unique flavor, from light floral and fruity notes to the deep, rich tastes Colombian coffee is known for.
