Day 1: Arrival & Exploring Old Town
Arrival in Prague and exploring the old town center.

Old town square - Powder Tower - Obecní Dům
To fully optimize our visit of the city, we invested in the 'Coolpass,' a pass that grants you access to the majority of Prague's main attractions. While there's also an option available that encompasses transportation, we discovered that it's hardly necessary, given the pedestrian-friendly nature of the city. For longer distances, we simply obtained tram tickets, which are not expensive and can easily be bought via the online app. Upon our arrival, we decided to stroll through the old town center. Our starting point was the Old Town Square. The centerpiece here is the Astronomical Clock tower. Our journey then flowed towards the Powder Tower, a historic city gate, and the Obecní Dům, an Art Nouveau theater for hosting concerts and operas. Be sure not to overlook the restaurant within the theater, also built down to the smallest details in the Art Nouveau style. While walking through the streets, we encountered the 'chimney' pastries in various food shops. However, we soon discovered that despite their prominent presence, these pastries aren't an authentic part of Czech tradition; rather, they appear to be a well-laid tourist trap.

Drinks at The Monkey Bar
We loved the bar in our hotel (not only open to hotel guests). They serve amazing and original cocktails and a nice selections of bites. There is also a cozy terrace. Highly recommended if you seek a nice apero bar!
