Chimney Mansion is a family-owned bakery -which is a thing in Seoul- and it’s become one of my favourite spots in the city. It's set in a charming old house in the buzzing university neighbourhood, a place already packed with Seoul’s coolest spots, and somehow, Chimney Mansion still manages to stand out.
The specialty here? Chimney breads—a twist on the classic Hungarian fluffy, hollow pastries with both savoury and sweet options. It’s genuinely hard to pick just one! My favourite is the vanilla-raspberry: perfectly baked and pairs incredibly well with their salted caramel iced coffee! 🧋 This was so good.
But it’s not just about the bread here; it’s the whole vibe. As soon as you step in, you’re greeted by a striking red brick chimney and an interior that feels like an old European home.
With three terraces and inviting indoor nooks, it’s easy to see why this place fills up fast. I visited twice on weekdays and had no trouble finding a spot, but by the time I left, a line had already formed. So, expect to line up to get in if you’re going on a weekend.
