Chichén Itza is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World and therefore a must-visit on your Yucatan roadtrip. This ancient archaeological site is one of the most visited in Mexico. Chichén Itzá consist of multiple Mayan ruins is one of the largest Mayan cities ever built. Spend around 2 to 3 hours on the UNESCO site to explore all the remains. Try to arrive earlierst possible to skip the crowds and heat. A day trip to Chichén Itza can be done from anywhere on the Yucatan Peninsula, like Cancun or Tulum. However, when you’re visiting Valladolid, it’s one of the best things to visit from here. most people choose to stay in Valladolid and visit from there.
