The Gato de Tejado walk, or El Paseo del Gato de Tejada, is one of Cali's most unique cultural landmarks. Located along the banks of the Río Cali, near the neighborhood of San Antonio, this scenic promenade is an outdoor art exhibit featuring dozens of cat sculptures. The walkway is named after the original Gato de Tejada (Tejada’s Cat), a 3-meter bronze sculpture created in 1996 by renowned Colombian artist Hernando Tejada.
Visitors can stroll along the path, taking photos of each unique sculpture, enjoying the riverside setting and admire each artist’s vision. The Gato de Tejado walk has become a popular activity for both locals and tourists to enjoy Cali's sunny weather, artistic diversity and lively atmosphere.
