France
Metz - La Vôge-les-Bains
157 km 955 meters of elevation Long day in the saddle! A ride with a long and flat approach from the starting point Metz along the Moselle and all its tributaries, then through the busy Nancy to end in the rolling Vosges.

Metz - La Vôge-les-Bains
For those in need of meditation or self-reflection, I recommend the bike path ‘Voie Bleue - Moselle Saône à vélo’. On these endless flat towpaths along the Moselle and all its tributaries, you are guaranteed to find peace. You only hear croaking frogs, singing birds, and the babbling of water. But after 100 kilometers on these paths with only the busy Nancy as a ‘snack’, it was enough. So I just dove into the Vosges department just in time, which provided a welcome change in landscape, gradient, and... weather. After three days, I was finally able to take out my rain jacket for the first time, fortunately just for a moment. In the meantime, I am enjoying cycling through France more and more. Along the way, I met an older man in a lumberjack shirt and a phenomenal mustache who shouted ‘Vive le vélo’ when he saw me pass by. Yes, sir! And long live France too!
