An incredible view on the sea of clouds - Miradouro Molinas

Perched in Madeira’s northern mountains, Lombo do Mouro was long celebrated for its sweeping panoramic views of verdant valleys, rugged peaks, and the Atlantic coastline. From this vantage point, visitors could marvel at the island’s wild northern landscapes, with layers of forest and farmland stretching as far as the eye could see. Sadly, access to Lombo do Mouro is now closed due to recent wildfires that made the roads unsafe. However, it is still possible to drive up to Miradouro Molinas, where the view over the famous sea of clouds is absolutely incredible. This trip was made in collaboration with Brussels Airlines, that offers direct flights from Brussels Airport to Funchal all year round.
