Landing in Ibiza always feels like stepping into a sun-soaked postcard. We collected our rental car from Moto Luis right at the airport – a recommendation we’d heard countless times and one that truly didn’t disappoint. The process was seamless, and it set the perfect tone for our trip.
Our home base was a hidden gem: a small guesthouse behind a grand villa, run by a warm Belgian couple. Casita Mariella Ibiza (only discoverable on Instagram) offered a private terrace, all the essentials, and access to a gorgeous pool. Its location couldn’t have been better – easy to reach from both the airport and Ibiza Town, nestled in a safe, charming neighborhood. The hosts shared insider tips that turned our stay into a true local experience.
Insider Tip
We visited Ibiza in early April, which turned out to be ideal: the weather was already beautiful (much better than in Belgium!), the island was still quiet, and there was no need to book restaurants far in advance. From May onwards, Ibiza enters high season, and for popular food spots, reservations become essential.
There are still so many corners of Ibiza we want to explore. On a future visit, we’d love to check out Juntos House, a farm-to-table restaurant and farm that promises fresh, local flavors in a beautiful countryside setting. It’s definitely on our list for next time!
Ibiza in three days was a whirlwind of hidden gems, pristine beaches, and authentic local experiences.
