Rouen, France

Spend the morning in the city of Rouen

Rouen is the historical capital of Normandy and a must when you're visiting the region. It's quite big so you can easily spend a full day here, strolling through historical alleys and hopping from one authentic bar/terrace to the other. The city is also known for all its antic shops ("brocantes"), the cathedral and a big astrological clock. Oh, and did you know that Disney based its decors in their parks on the houses in Rouen? Reasons enough to pay a visit! 😊 Perfect as a first stop of your trip.

Distances in Normandy are quite big from one spot to another, so you definitely need a car here.

Sunset stroll in Trouville-sur-Mer

When the sun starts to set, go out and stroll on the road next to the beach of Trouville-sur-Mer. You'll see locals playing "Jeu de Boules", elderly catching some sunlight and children playing with balls on the beach. Such a lovely and peaceful vibe over here! Craving some fresh mussels? Find a seat on the terrace of "Les Viviers" and you'll get the front-row sea view for free.
