Plaza Mayor
Coming to Madrid you can't really not see Plaza Mayor since it's literally in the city center and it's the biggest and most known square in Madrid. Filled with amazing statues, buildings, and a lot of cozy terraces and restaurants (which are very expensive tho). Stay in: The Hat Hostel (a 5min walk from Plaza Mayor)

Mercado de San Miguel
Right next to Plaza Mayor is Mercado de San Miguel, you have to eat here at least once while you're in Madrid even if it's for a small bite or a complete lunch/dinner they have it all here! Be aware it can get very busy, watch out for pickpockets.

Palacio de Cristal
In the afternoon you can head out to El Retiro park, to escape the busy city life. In the park you can find Palacio de Cristal, one of the best architectures I've ever seen. This beautiful Cristal Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site build in the 19th century and is a must visit. Throughout the year it hosts temporary exhibitions, but best of all it's free!

La Latina
Head out to region La Latina in the late afternoon/evening. This is a buzzing place on Saturday or Sunday because it's filled with amazing tapas spots and bars. Have dinner at LaLina Bravas, this place gets booked out very easily so make sure to make a reservation in advance.

Churros for life
I hope you still have some room left because this place is know for its chocolate milk and churros. Founded in 1894 and open EVERYDAY AND NIGHT! Craving a midnight snack or just a delicious dessert? This is the place! "Chocolateria San Ginés" You have to order inside, and they bring everything to your table. Price for hot chocolate and 6 churros is around €5,50.
