Landed in Lisbon
Discovering the small but lively city of Lisbon on our first day and visiting the gastronomic as well as the cultural localities.

Settling at Patio São Vicente
Since we arrived early in the morning we headed to our apartment to get settled first. Patio São Vicente is located in the old city center of Lisbon, it took us about 15 minutes to reach the shopping district. As we had an extremely early morning, we wanted to grab a coffee first. Around the corner of our apartment we found Fora, they sell local and artisan pastries. A definite go-to if you're in the neighborhood!

Discovering Lisbon
After having recharged our batteries, we headed to the new city center of Lisbon to discover some of the touristic highlights. We spotted the cathedral, the local shops, some gorgeous viewpoints and even decided to rent a tuktuk to get the most out of our trip around the city. Some highlights to definitely see if you're in Lisbon: Praça do Comércio, Elevador de Santa Justa, Sé (cathedral) and the Alfama District.

Dinner at Patio 13
At only a ten-minute walk from our apartment we found some local restaurants but it was very difficult for us to choose where to eat since most of the locations looked a bit worn. When we arrived at Patio 13 the smell of the food convinced us to stay. Their restaurant was located on a little square where guests were seated at picnic tables. The chef was preparing fish as well as meat dishes on a barbecue outside. It was honestly one of the best places we ate at during our whole trip!
