Visiting Mercat Central for breakfast

Good moooorning! Our first morning waking up in Valencia, the sun is already shining and we're feeling super energized after a great night sleep at Sea You Hotel Port Valencia. We decided to start off our day by visiting the Mercat Central of Valencia, a must see when you're in the city. We headed there by bus, a super easy way to get around. There's a bus stop just a 2-minute walk from Hotel Sea You Port Valencia and once you're in the city, nothing is far by foot. The Mercat was already booming when we got there. We decided to grab some breakfast: zumo de naranja natural, bocadillo con jamón (and agua de Valencia for later on 😉). After breakfast we had a lovely stroll around the city. The beautiful weather is just such a great start for a productive day.

Remote work at Portobello

When we had a little stroll close to our hotel the day before, we spotted this super cute café called Portobello. We saw people sitting with laptops so we knew this would be a good place to go for remote work. Once we got there we chose a cosy spot inside, they have wifi and plenty of plugs available to work. We finished most of our tasks for that day while enjoying Portobello's fresh juices and amazing coffees. After a while we decided to move to the cute spot outside and had a lovely lunch (all of that for just €12 per person!?).

Facial at Beauty Clinic

Since we're on a workation, we decided it would also be nice to have a little 'zen' time in between. We booked a one-hour facial treatment at Beauty Clinic Valencia and honestly felt reborn once we left their clinic. We opted for the Vitamin C treatment and felt both mentally as well as physically completely recharged. The staff are super welcoming, kind and really radiate positivity.

Work from Sea You Hotel Port Valencia

We had finished most of our work throughout the day at Portobello but still had a couple of tasks to finish up. We didn't want to go too far from the hotel anymore since we had a reservation for dinner that evening and wanted to get ourselves ready after finishing work. Therefore we decided to 'work from home' 😉. The weather was lovely so we went up to the rooftop and had a productive late afternoon.

Dinner at Santa Rita

San Tommaso and Santa Rita are two popular places I came across during my research for good remote working cafés and cosy dinner spots. We decided to make a reservation at Santa Rita for our (already 😪) last evening. Insanely beautiful interior as well as exterior. A lovely vibe, great service and a super extensive menu. Besides this, it looks crazy fancy but the prices are extremely reasonable. We started off with a glass of prosecco and the cheese board as well as homemade focaccia with truffle. The food was way too much for two but was delicious. For mains we opted for the pasta carbonara as well as the pasta with lobster and tomatoes. Once we asked for the bill they gave us free limoncello. A definite go-to in Valencia!
