Senegal
Palmarin
On the final day of long-distance driving, we reached the area of Palmarin and the Sin Saloum Delta. We stayed at the Lodge de Palmarin, a peaceful retreat nestled in this stunning region. As the sun began to set, we set off on a calèche tour to explore the salt culture and to spot hyenas in the natural reserve of Palmarin. It was a captivating experience, blending nature, wildlife, and local traditions.

Ecolodge de Palmarin
Located on the beach, this lodge features a collection of small, comfortable huts, each offering a cozy and authentic experience. The hotel is built using the typical red material of the region, blending beautifully with the natural surroundings. Its location is perfect for accessing all the activities in the area, making it a great base for exploring the region. Hyenas
In the natural reserve of Palmarin, we had the chance to explore and learn about the salt culture, the majestic baobabs, and, if we were lucky, even spot hyenas! Once again, we took a calèche ride at sunset, which was a truly beautiful experience. Our guides shared a wealth of interesting facts along the way, making the journey even more enriching.
