Enjoying Lagoon of Somone

For our last two nights, we stayed at Les Manguiers de Guéréo — a super comfy and luxurious retreat that was the perfect final touch to this amazing trip. We also explored the lagoon of La Somone, where you can glide through the mangroves by boat and relax at one of the local beachside restaurants. We personally returned a few times to the new panoramic spot owned by Malick — truly the kindest man on earth. On Day 12, we soaked in the beauty of the area one last time until 5 PM, before heading to the airport for our direct flight back to Brussels, operated by Brussels Airlines. They fly several times a week to this sunny, vibrant destination — a land rich in tradition and full of contrasts. Senegal, we will be back!

New Panomaric View (Chez Malick)

Located in the Baie de la Somone, Chez Malick (or New Panoramic View on Google Maps) is a great place to eat, drink, and relax by the bay, offering a wonderful time. You have everything you need, and Malick is the kindest person on earth. He will organize a mangrove tour for you, or you can simply sunbathe in the hammock or sunbed, walk along the beach, or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. This place is unique and tranquil. I highly recommend the langoustes and gambas, they’re absolutely delicious! On this spot, depending on the weather, you can surf or kitsurf. Depending on where you’re staying, you can reach it by little boat or by road with a calèche. This adventure in Senegal was made possible in collaboration with Brussels Airlines, which offers direct flights from Brussels to Dakar.
