Quite unknown and hidden at the end of a long dirt road, you will find the fairy-tale like Flåøya peninsula. With small pathways snaking through thick moss-covered forest, ancient burial mounds dating back to the Viking age, and no other tourists in sight, this spot carries a very special energy. There's a small wharf and bonfire area at the far end of the island and if you are quiet (and lucky like us) you might even encounter some roe deer.
