While traveling in Uganda, you'll be staying in many different lodges traveling from location to location. We visited a lot of nice ones, yet this one was my ab-so-lute favorite. Welcome to Turaco Treetops in Kibale National Park, the home of the Chimps as they like to call it. From here, it's only a 10-min drive to the starting point of the world-famous wild Chimpanzee trekking.
Yet next to the practical advantage, Turaco Treetops is the piece of rest you'll need during your busy roadtrip. It calm (only a few rooms, or let's say suites 😊), the pool area is beautiful and the main restaurant/bar is just the perfect place to relax. We sat down for the whole afternoon over there, played some card games and drank a good glass of wine. And that's not so easy in Uganda 😉🍷, so we were very happy with that! Also, a plus: the food was delicious.
Simply a must-go! Oh, and did you know "Turaco" is a colourful bird easily spotted in the area? Check out the photos to get a glimpse.
