Prettiest waterfall of Indonesia: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall

Indonesia’s most spectacular waterfall, Tumpak Sewu, is an absolute must-see, and visiting early gives you an experience like no other.
We hopped on our scooters and started the 2 hour drive from Malang to make sure we arrived early at this magnificent piece of nature. At sunrise (or just after), you’ll have the place almost to yourself. With the morning fog everywhere and Semeru Volcano as the backdrop, the whole setting is pure magic!
From the viewpoint you’ll be able to see countless streams of water fall from their cliffs. This is something we’ve never seen before, water coming from every direction! Tumpak Sewu is loosely translated to "a thousand waterfalls", once you’re standing at the top you’ll get how this place got its name ;-)
For an even greater experience, adventurers can walk the trail all the way down to the falls themselves. The descent can be a bit tricky with bamboo ladders and streams to navigate. But, once you’ve reached the waterfall’s base you’ll have forgotten all about that! You’ll be surrounded by towering walls and multiple showers, which means you’ll get wet!
If this isn’t worth waking up early for, then we don’t know what is!
